Well, the “World’s Week” has arrived and it will be a busy one for Go Drumming. Last night was spend practicing for the Forte Concert with Boghall & Bathgate Caledonia Pipe Band, held at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on Wednesday 8th August. The concert will kick off at 7.30pm and promises to be an excellent night with great music.
Today will be spend around the famous Todd Bar, at Strathclyde University. This is the place where most foreign bands will be staying and a good place to catch up with friends from around the globe. Tonight will be spend in the concert hall setting up and having a practice.
Wednesday will be an early start with the band “concert” bus leaving Bathgate at 9am. Most of the day will be spend setting up the stage and final sound checks before the concert kicks off.
Thursday will be a day off in relation to practice with the annual Open practice at the Todd Bar by Boghall & Bathgate taking place on Friday afternoon. Saturday all bands will gather at the famous Glasgow Green to fight it out for the World titles.
