Our Suppliers

Since the start in 2009, we are official dealers for a selection of top class brands. These brands include Andante Percussion from Northern Ireland, TG drumming by Tom and Gordon Brown, Pro Line Series and Jim Kilpatrick Percussion from Scotland.

Andante Percussion
Sam and Frank Hodgen established Andante Percussion in November 1986 in Northern Ireland. The inspiration for the business came from the Pipe Band that Sam was Pipe Major of. They had extreme problems with their drums as the structure of the drums was not strong enough to cope with the new woven Kevlar top playing head. Over the years Olav has used a variety of Andante products raging from drums to practice pads and sticks. During this period the products produced by Andante have spoken for themselves as they have proven to be consistent and of the highest quality.

TG drumming & Pro Line Series
Based in the heart of Scotland, TG Drumming was formed over 10 years ago by the famous father and son duo Tom and Gordon Brown. The heritage and traditions of their world-class pipe band drumming teaching system were laid down in 1975 when Tom started teaching youngsters for the recently formed Boghall and Bathgate Caledonia Pipe Band.

TG drumming has developed a complete range of pipe band drumming supplies including the famous TG snare drum stick, TG drum pad and the TG drum carrier for the pipe band snare drum. In 2009 they came with a new product, the Pro Line Series bass and tenor stick range. These sticks are designed along with Boghall & Bathgate tenor drummer Stephen McQuillan and are played by a variety of grade 1 bands including Boghall and Bathgate Caledonia, Scottish Power and Lothian and Borders Police Pipe Band.

Olav currently uses the TG drum stick, TG drum carrier and Pro Line Series tenor stick with both Boghall & Bathgate Caledonia Pipe Band and the City of Adelaide Pipe Band.

Jim Kilpatrick Percussion
Jim Kilpatrick does not need any introduction to the pipe band-drumming enthusiast. At the age of 15, he joined his present band The House of Edgar Shotts & Dykehead Pipe Band where he won his first World Drum Corps and World Pipe Band Championships – the first of his record eighteen World Drum Corps Championships. This includes winning the World Drum Corps Championship for a record breaking eleven years in a row between 1988 and 1998. In his solo career Jim has broken every record in the books by winning the World Solo Drumming Championships sixteen times.

Jim has produced many products ranging from sticks to harnesses to tuning blocks. Over the years Olav has used many of Jim’s products be it in bands or whilst competing at the solo’s.
